My story

I believe you can do it!

Do you want to make a real difference to families? Do you feel trapped in a job that you never really liked? Do you need something that will not only give you a satisfying career but also work flexibly around your family and other commitments? Need something for you?

My background as a paediatric nurse and health visitors spanning 26 years gave me so many skills and and expertise. However I felt it wasn't enough for me. I was combining 2 part time (more like fun time) roles as a nurse specialist for looked after children and a community paediatric team manager, working many more hours then I was contracted for. I realised I needed to do something for myself, I needed to be my own boss and have a more flexible working pattern. I wanted to support families in a way where I had the time to do so, sharing the things I loved and believed made all the difference to families. I took the plunge and left the NHS to teach baby massage, baby yoga, baby first aid and offer sleep support to families as well as running a therapy practice as a hypnotherapist, EFT practitioner and life coach. Had I just moved into doing 2 other busy roles? NO as I had the flexibility and freedom to do what I wanted, what I enjoyed and more so what served the families and clients I worked with. I never looked back - that was over 14 years ago. To Baby and Beyond was born!

From teaching the most amazing groups of parents in a small studio in Brighton, To Baby and Beyond grew. Utilising all my skills I created a really flexible way of training as an infant massage, baby yoga and toddler yoga instructor. As well as supporting schools, nurseries and parents in gaining vital first aid skills. To Baby and Beyond is still growing today.

So how about you? I am here to support you. Whether you want to start from the beginning and train as an infant massage instructor, beginning with babies, add to your existing skill set with courses such as our tummy time instructor. After 26 years of experience supporting families and after having helped almost 4000 instructors, supported numbers families to enhance their fertility or sleep as well as trained over 8000 people in first aid.  Why not get in touch? What are you waiting for?

What our clients have to say

I am a midwife and attended the express baby massage instructor course in February and thought it was really well run. The information was clearly delivered by Julie and the role playing was very beneficial. The pre-reading and case studies really helped to consolidate the learning. Thank you very much and I would thoroughly recommend.
Juliet, London 2016
My tutor was great. She was so approachable and helpful. And so responsive. I also liked how everything was in short concise chunks that I could pick up and leave as and when I had time around my own family life.

Everything! I have loved doing this course and jessica and Julie are so helpful and supportive! Before starting the course I was unsure of doing massage as the yoga classes were my favourite choice but now I love baby massage and teaching gives me great satisfaction and enjoyment! Jessica was amazing throughout, I was always getting my assignment feedback and marking very very quickly. She is so knowledgeable on baby massage and I aspire to be like her and Julie! Thank you
