Name: Melissa Ferguson

Lives: Sunderland

What do you teach? Sensory Classes, Baby Massage and Baby Yoga

How long have you been an instructor? Only since April 2024

What made you want to become an instructor? To provide classes in an area where there wasnt any previously. I had travelled with my own kids to classes 30minutes away.

Have you always been an instructor? I was previously a dental nurse at Newcastle's RVI and then in private dentist. From having children I wanted to run my own classes but never found a franchise that suited me until I found Lovabelle when my niece was attending classes with Gemma who founded it.

What’s your favourite part of your job? Watching all the babies grow and develop but also the confidence of the parents each week and making friends within the group.

How do you keep your skills up to date? With being recently qualified my skills are up to date from you at To Baby and Beyond

What qualities do you think are important in an instructor? To be friendly and welcoming and have a kind personality and be able to be a person people can relate too.

What’s your top tip for other instructors? Be yourself - people who can relate to you and tend to want to stay.be prepared - allow yourself enough time to know your lesson and set up ready.

What are your plans for the future? To carry on growing my classes and hopefully get some more classes running.

We wish Melissa the best of luck with her exciting new career! If you'd like to find out more about Melissa take a look at Lovabelle's website here, her Facebook page or Instagram profile.
